Thanks. Giving.

A daily practice for gratitude and giving

Words by The Minimalists

Thanksgiving is a great reminder to be grateful for the gifts around you. Not the physical gifts, but the infinite beauty tucked into every corner of your life.

But you needn’t wait until the fourth Thursday in November (USA) or the second Monday in October (Canada) to be thankful, or giving.

What if, instead, you take 90 seconds each morning and write down three things for which you are thankful? What will your list look like? How will it shape your day?

And what if each day you focus on contributing beyond yourself in one small way: a hug, a meal, or just a few minutes of your time? How will this daily giving shape your life?

The Minimalists

The Minimalists are American authors, podcasters, filmmakers, and public speakers Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus. The duo began pursuing the minimalist lifestyle in 2010. After experiencing significant improvements in their quality of life as a result of adopting and practicing the tenets of minimalism, the pair launched a website in December 2010 to share their experiences. Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus help over 20 million people live meaningful lives with less through their writing, podcast, and documentary.
